back to full listing

Creative Apprentices were sent out to visit different creative companies or galleries around Birmingham City centre. Some of the apprentices visited the Birmingham art gallery and inspected the ideas and art that are displayed to our modern society. This inspired them to create their own ideas and reconstruct the ideas that have been used by other artists or producers from all centuries. They collected evidence of their experiences and brought it back to their training session at Creative Alliance to share with the rest of the apprentices.

Apprentices shared : ‘ it was fun and exciting to research and go to a place where we wanted to visit, it allowed us to look at things that interested us .We even tried on the medieval costumes in the history section. That day we really enjoyed working in a team and not only created great own ideas but really enjoyed finding out about creativity in Birmingham.’

This was a great chance for them to find out and be inspired by the diversity and varieties of creative ideas that exists within the creative industries and the communities throughout Birmingham and beyond. This also allowed CA to see the apprentice’s perspectives and feelings by them explain their choice of venue to visit and how it affected them.
