Our Approach and Ethos to Apprenticeships
Creative Alliance believes our role is to work with an employer to develop independent, responsible and accountable young professionals ready to enter into a very demanding and competitive industry.
“Don’t worry about the skills,” employers tell us, “these can be taught. What we want are people with the right attitude and approach.” We work with apprentices right from the start of their employment, inviting them to attend an intensive two day induction programme to provide young people with the skills employers say they need. The induction sessions cover: professional behaviour, employability skills, customer service, personal learning thinking skills (PLTS) and how to receive feedback.
Employers are key to our business. That’s why we have partnered with an HR specialist to offer free support to any of our employers experiencing issues with an apprentice. Produced a set of how to guides, a set of resources covering everything we know about employing young people and set up a monthly training day for employers’ interested in developing their knowledge of HR and how to get the best of their apprentice.
