BBC Make it Digital

BBC Make it Digital Traineeship

BBC Make It Digital is an exciting traineeship which aims to equip young people with the digital and social media skills needed for business. Creative Alliance have been working with the BBC, DWP and other training providers, hosting the pilot phase of the traineeship, which has now been rolled out across the country, with the aim of reaching 5,000 young people.

Are you 16-24? Unemployed? Fewer than 2 A Levels?
If so, the BBC Make It Digital Traineeship could be just what you’re looking for to help you get a job.

On the traineeship, which runs for 9 weeks, we will teach about the social media platforms, how to build a social media campaign, how to build a website, how to create content, how to edit video and aspects of coding and programming.

Employability and professionalism will also be a big component as the course includes 4 weeks work experience in digital and creative companies. From what employers tell us, we know that they find it hard to hire young people with great employability skills. We also know that employers large and small often struggle because they don’t understand a lot about the digital world.

So if we can help you to build your skills in both these areas, then you’ll stand a much better chance of getting a good job or a high quality apprenticeship. Using training from the BBC Academy, we’ve made sure that many of your favourite BBC programmes are weaved into the Traineeship.
