Creative Alliance is the specialist for creative, digital and marketing apprenticeships in the Midlands. We work with a variety of employers and help people to find amazing apprenticeship opportunities. We seek a part-time bookkeeper to work with us.

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for accurate financial book-keeping, records and to ensure the smooth financial running of the business. You will join a friendly team, here at Creative Alliance, with your role being to bookkeep, to balance, to complete purchase and debtors’ ledgers, manage bank and cash accounts and other associated administrative duties.

All transactions are entered onto Xero and you will have the responsibility of controlling all outstanding invoices and ensuring prompt payment, maintaining and checking funding payments, setting up direct debit payments when required and processing the petty cash sheets.

We are looking for a person with at least one to two years’ experience in bookkeeping.  Excellent numeracy skills, financial awareness, accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to multitask are a must.   Good communication skills are essential as finding the right level of diplomacy with clients can be required.  The ability and confidence to work on your own without supervision is necessary as is the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will also need to be highly motivated with excellent organisational skills and have a solid knowledge of PC systems particularly Xero and MS Excel.  If you are a personable and reliable individual who is able to hit the ground running, we would love to hear from you.   • Hours: 15 hrs per week – preferably Tues/Weds/Fri but with flexibility
