They are looking for an apprentice Motion Graphics Designer.

Job Purpose

Responsible for junior-level graphic design and motion graphics/animation to support the post-production team and contribute to video projects; assisting on video shoots; capture and archiving of rushes; basic edit tasks; general support duties.

Extensive training and development will be provided, but candidate must demonstrate an aptitude for graphic design and/or drawing/art skills, and be highly computer literate. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or similar software is highly desirable.

Key Duties

POST-PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT

  • Using Adobe Creative Suite, developing design elements and motion graphics to support a team of editors and motion designers
  • Capturing rushes, managing data and operating archival systems
  • Research and preparation of image and graphics files, and sourcing music
  • Ensuring that all output meets the highest creative and technical standards
  • Develop beginner-intermediate status in Adobe After Effects/Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, and other software tools related to post-production

GENERAL

  • To undertake any other general and administrative duties when required, e.g. telephone answering, cleaning, errands
  • Assisting on video shoots (including overnight stays away from home)
  • IT proficiency is required (especially experience with MS Office and Adobe Suite), but training will be provided in all aspects of the role

Craft/Technical Skills

  • An aptitude for graphic design and/or freehand drawing
  • Previous experience using Adobe After Effects and Photoshop is highly desirable
  • Basic/developing skills, with an emphasis on supporting more senior operators

  • A solid understanding of the company’s technical systems and processes

Client Interaction

  • Minimal; may meet clients on shoots or in the office occasionally

  • Understands the importance of being a good ambassador for Big Button

 

Requirements:

Maths and English Level 2/GCSE at Grade C/4 or above.

You will be completing a Production Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship with Creative Alliance.

You will have training on the job and off the job with the award winning, creative specilaised provider Creative Alliance.
