Description:

The district was created on 1 April 1974, by a merger of the former Leamington Spa and Warwick municipal boroughs, the Kenilworth urban district and the Warwick Rural District. 

This apprenticeship opportunity will see you work within the Cultural Services Arts team, gaining skills, knowledge and experience of the district’s arts sector. To provide administrative support to the Programming and Marketing team.

  • To assist with the planning, organisation and delivery of performances, events, screenings, workshops and exhibitions across the service and it’s venues (the Royal Spa Centre, Royal Pump Rooms and Leamington Town Hall)
  • To liaise with colleagues, promoters, artists, hirers, visitors, and partner organisations
  • To respond to general enquiries by email, telephone or post and to deliver day to day office functions
  • To support the Marketing Officers with promotional activity
  • To assist with the process of invoicing and payments, the costing of events, creating quotations and assisting with financial record keeping
  • To assist the Learning & Engagement Officer in developing, delivering and evaluating community arts projects, activities and workshops
Requirements:
  • 5 GCSE at grade C inc Maths and English
  • IT literate including knowledge of main Microsoft office software

Training to be provided:

Event Assistant Level 3 Standard

Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from industry. You will finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, money, and substantial opportunities for promotion.

Training is a blended learning delivery model: online learning, classroom sessions, work-based training, independent research, workplace projects, one-to-one support and training. Your training will include:
