Digital Marketing and Projects Assistant
The Digital Marketing and Projects Assistant will work within the Marketing and Programmes team to create dynamic content for all our social media channels and our website and to support the successful delivery of our projects.
Write concise and compelling copy for e-flyers, websites, marketing packs and other materials where relevant – adapting your writing style to suit relevant audiences.
Assisting with publicity design, images and video content
Assist with PR – drafting and distributing press releases
Assist with updating Sampad’s website and social media channels ensuring that they have relevant, appealing, up-to-date content and are updated regularly.
Write, produce and send regular e-mail newsletters to the company’s e-mailing lists, monitoring open and click-through rates to devise strategies to increase readership.
Assist with developing and deliver strategies to increase social media followers and website visitors, and to broaden our digital audience reach, deepen engagement and promote loyalty.
Assist with managing the company’s audience data, including collection, storage and usage in line with UK data protection legislation and our ACE NPO funding agreement.
Consider the perspective of Sampad audiences when compiling marketing campaigns, and reviewing identified audience segments as required.
Assist with audience evaluation, including managing data collection at events, managing volunteers undertaking face-to-face questionnaires and ensuring data is inputted into the Audience Spectrum online portal, producing reports and interrogating data to gain a good understanding of Sampad’s audience profile and reach.
Management, reporting and analytics:
Provide regular reports to the company on ticket sales and campaign effectiveness, in order to evaluate past performance and plan future strategies.
Monitor Sampad’s website and all of the company’s online platforms, using Google Analytics and other tools, devising strategies to increase traffic and engagement.
Support the Executive and Artistic Directors in researching potential fundraising streams
Drafting fundraising applications
Supporting the delivery of Sampad’s From City of Empire to City of Diversity Schools exhibition to schools and liaising with school staff around queries
Represent Sampad at industry events, when required.
To participate in training and development activities and to assist with the training and development of colleagues, as appropriate.
You need to be 18-25 years old and on Universal Credit.
Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, with excellent attention to detail.
Experience of updating websites and online platforms including social media.
Experience of collecting, analysing and using data
Experience with Canva, Adobe Photoshop or InDesign (or similar design software).
Image Editing skills to crop, resize and repurpose digital content for social media.
Numeracy skills for simple budget management
Knowledge of live streaming or live events online
Film editing skills is an advantage.
A willingness to undertake a DBS Clearance.
Training to be provided:
Creative Alliance will provide the Kickstart Placement with a mentor to provide ongoing support to effectively integrate them into the culture of the company and help them understand the professional standards we work to.
They will receive external employability support from Creative Alliance who will help them produce a new CV and portfolio so they can compete for marketing positions after their six months on the Kickstart scheme.
