Purpose of the role

The Digital Marketing Assistant will support the Marketing Manager to make sure that Flatpack has a good presence online which will help to ensure we grow our audiences and let people know what exciting events we have planned.

 

Main Responsibilities

A large part of this role will be looking after our social media channels day to day, making sure we have interesting and engaging content and that events such as our festival are properly promoted. The Digital Marketing Assistant will also help with e-newsletters and other forms of online marketing such as blogs, and help keep our website updated.

 

Core Duties:

Help plan and post content for all social media channels

Help to create content for social media channels, newsletters and blogs

Support with maintaining and updating the website and getting this ready for the festival

Help with making sure our online festival viewing platform is ready for the festival

Respond to general queries on social media or pass on to a relevant team member

Support the team and guest bloggers to write and upload blogs

Help with collecting and analysing survey responses

Support with collecting and analysing social media statistics

 

General Duties:

Work with the rest of the team to make sure we create a welcoming environment where everyone can thrive

Requirements:

This opportunity is funded through DWP so applicants, therefore, must be in receipt of Universal Credit.

Skills required:

Good communication skills as you’ll need to talk with customers and other team members

Comfortable writing small amounts of text for social media and newsletters

 

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with social media channels would be useful.

Flatpack Projects will provide the Kickstart Placement with a mentor to provide ongoing support to effectively integrate them into the culture of the company and help them understand the professional standards we work to. They will receive external employability support from Creative Alliance who will help them produce a new CV and portfolio so they can compete for positions after their six months on the Kickstart scheme. Once we have appointed our Placement, we will look at which of the Digital Skills for Business courses (coding & web design; digital content production; design; digital marketing) best meets their development needs and they will attend that level 3 certified 60-hour tutor led course provided by Creative Alliance.
