The Events Assistant Kickstart Trainee will assist with the organization and delivery of a range of events and activities for Black Voices, Legacy Centre of Excellence, ACE dance and music and Black Arts Forum. This job will suit you if you like making things happen and you’re a good organiser: you make lists, put together charts and you’re the type of person your friends and family turn to organise a party or celebration.


This opportunity is funded through DWP applicants, therefore, must be in receipt of universal credit. Must be age 16 -24 years.

Employability Skills – You must: Have excellent communication skills as you’ll need to talk with clients, customers and other team members Be proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude and be keen to learn new skills and develop existing ones Be flexible in order to be able to respond to a range of different work situations Be committed to delivering a high level of customer service Be approachable and have the ability to work under pressure Be both a team player and have the ability to work on your own initiative Technical Skills – You must: Be computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office Be willing to learn and use in-house software systems, CRM’s, spreadsheets and databases

Training to be provided:

Creative Alliance will provide the Kickstart Placement with a mentor to provide ongoing support to effectively integrate them into the culture of the company and help them understand the professional standards we work to. They will receive external employability support from Creative Alliance who will help them produce a new CV and portfolio so they can compete for marketing positions after their six months on the Kickstart scheme. Once we have appointed our Placement we will look at which of the Digital Skills for Business courses (coding & web design; digital content production; design; digital marketing) best meets their development needs and they will attend that level 3 certified 60 hour tutor lead course provided by Creative Alliance.
