Main Responsibilities

Our Project Assistant will develop knowledge and skills of project, events and general administration whilst bringing a young fresh perspective to the impact we can make across the creative sector. Your main responsibilities will include providing project administration, events support and research assistance to our Creative Enterprise team.

Core Duties:

Some of your main day-to-day duties will involve project administration such as: drafting contracts, updating project trackers e.g. event and participant lists, observing assessment meetings and taking notes, maintaining our database and purchase order creation.

You will also offer events support including administrative and logistical support, desk-based research into diversity and inclusion networks and project marketing support including drafting social content.

General Duties:

Adhere to company processes, policies and procedures, particularly GDPR data protection legislation and health and safety best practices around social distancing.

Ensure compliance with all relevant funding conditions and reporting requirements

Act as a point of contact for external enquiries and communication

Work in a way which celebrates diversity in practice, programmes and projects and encourages best practice

Act as a positive advocate of the company at all times

Ensure that safeguarding and health & safety policies are observed and positively implemented

Carry out any other reasonable duties as required and agreed with your line manager

Requirements:

This opportunity is funded through DWP so applicants, therefore, must be in receipt of Universal Credit.

Skills required:

Interested in Project Management

Interested in kick starting a career in Project Management

Communication skills and desire to liaise with people over the phone and email

Good organisational skills

An ability to multi-task

An interest in the Creative Industries

A willingness to learn Strong communication skills

Good organisation skills with the ability to multitask

Ability to interpret and draw conclusions from reports, research findings and data

Basic level of experience in IT skills such as MSOffice and basic experience or a desire to support CRM database management.

Training to be provided:

All kickstarts have training included as part of the programme. This will be employability skills programmes and training for the role.

Ability to think independently and work within a team 

Punctual and Reliable

Things to consider:
You need to be 18-25 years old and on Universal Credit.
Future prospects:
Creative Alliance will provide the Kickstart Placement with a mentor to provide ongoing support to effectively integrate them into the culture of the company and help them understand the professional standards we work to. They will receive external employability support from Creative Alliance who will help them produce a new CV and portfolio so they can compete for marketing positions after their six months on the Kickstart scheme. You will receive mentoring and training from the Programme team across project administration, how to set up virtual events, preparing mailing lists and observing creative workshops and panels. The People & Operations team will provide training in company systems, processes, how to use virtual event platforms such as zoom and Hopin. You will develop copy writing skills with opportunity to write for our website. The company is digital first meaning developing knowledge and experience using Office365 e.g. outlook, data storage will be key. You will also be trained on GDPR and general business administration.
