The role is to support the salon and it’s team as they can get incredibly busy & the salon & it’s equipment will need regular cleaning as well as supporting the staff with various errands.


Main Responsibilities

Support colleagues in the smooth running of the salon, asking for guidance as required.


Core Duties:

Communicating and building professional relationships with collegues and clients.

Follow salon processes & procedures for cleaning and maintenance.

Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times on the shop floor.

Actively use and engage with the company platforms of communication.

Be willing and flexible to learn & develop

Have an interest in the Beauty industry.


General Duties: For example

Adhere to company processes, policies and procedures, particularly GDPR data protection legislation and health and safety best practices around social distancing.

Ensure compliance with all relevant funding conditions and reporting requirements

Act as a point of contact for staff who require additional room support.

Act as a positive advocate of the company at all times

Ensure that safeguarding and health & safety policies are observed and positively implemented

Carry out any other reasonable duties as required and agreed with your line manager

Help with the cleaning of machines, equipment and general salon maintenance.


This opportunity is funded through DWP so applicants, therefore, must be in receipt of Universal Credit.

Skills required:

Excellent communication skills as you’ll need to talk with customers and other team members

Ability to read processes and follow procedures with little or no supervision once trained.

Training to be provided:

All kickstarts have training included as part of the programme. This will be employability skills programmes and training for the role.

Future prospects:
Creative Alliance will provide the Kickstart Placement with a mentor to provide ongoing support to effectively integrate them into the culture of the company and help them understand the professional standards we work to. They will receive external employability support from Creative Alliance who will help them produce a new CV and portfolio so they can compete for marketing positions after their six months on the Kickstart scheme. This is a great opportunity for a school leaver to gain some experience in a busy commercial environment. The successful applicant will have a mentor and we will provide a clear training plan to Creative Alliance, as well as giving them opportunities to demonstrate his/her ability to work well as a team, to be punctual, follow clear guidance and to show initiative- all valuable skills to take to further employment. If the applicant has an interest in the beauty industry and fits in well with the team and shows potential, there could be an opportunity to do their Level 2 & 3 beauty apprenticeship with the salon.
