Sustainable Working Researcher
Purpose of the role: Researching and establishing greener working opportunities to reduce the business Carbon Footprint along with researching offerings to clients giving them facts to enable a more informed decision in their requests.
Main Responsibilities: Researching how we as a business can monitor and reduce our carbon footprint by giving recommendations along with offsetting opportunities around the work we produce and how we produce and operate as a business.
Researching and establishing Industry best practices to enable us as a business to provide our customers with a more detailed factual data to our clients giving them a more informed alternatives in enabling them too to be greener in their needs.
Research and monitor our COMPSET to ensure we are leaders and not followers in working towards a more environmentally friendly operation.
Establish opportunities across the business for reducing carbon emissions and increasing sustainability
Establish a recycle program across the business
Weekly highlight update to the stake holder advising of recommendations and progress
Daily briefing with co-workers to establish if any support required
Identify all opportunities to off set carbon energy with a recommendations list
Benchmark company activity against Comp-Set to ensure we are a leader and not a follower for any missed opportunities
Recommend a green policy for the business and ways to communicate it to the team
Adhere to company processes, policies and procedures, particularly GDPR data protection legislation and health and safety best practices around social distancing.
Ensure compliance with all relevant funding conditions and reporting requirements
Act as a point of contact for external enquiries and communication
Work in a way which celebrates diversity in practice, programmes and projects and encourages best practice
Act as a positive advocate of the company at all times
Ensure that safeguarding and health & safety policies are observed and positively implemented
Carry out any other reasonable duties as required and agreed with your line manager
You need to be 18-25 years old and on Universal Credit.
Applicants should be computer literate, be confident in presenting findings to senior team
Website confident as the role requires research and fact finding
Strong communications skills as will be presenting the findings and giving recommendations
A passion for greener working and sustainable practices
Word / Power point literate as will be required to present findings and recommendations
Training to be provided:
Creative Alliance will provide the Kickstart Placement with a mentor to provide ongoing support to effectively integrate them into the culture of the company and help them understand the professional standards we work to.
They will receive external employability support from Creative Alliance who will help them produce a new CV and portfolio so they can compete for marketing positions after their six months on the Kickstart scheme.
