Kickstart is a new initiative to support young people at risk of long term unemployment.

You may well have heard of the Kickstart scheme by now. If its new to you we summarise it below.

At present we have received and submitted many job descriptions to the DWP, as a gateway we are dedicated to helping employers submit their application. We submit a cohort of employers’ applications at the end of each month for approval.

Summary

Kickstart is an initiative to support young people at risk of long term unemployment.

You create a six month job placement for a new role, recruit an unemployed young person from your local Job Centre Plus, and the government will pay their wages for six months. Wages will be paid at National Minimum Wage for the young person’s age for 25 hours / week. There is nothing to stop you topping up their wages with extra hours.
