Kickstart

We enable and empower creative
thinking in business through apprenticeships
and certified qualifications.

What is the Kickstart scheme?

The Kickstart Scheme has been created to help businesses employ young people, following the Covid-19 pandemic. The Government will pay six months salary at National Minimum Wage for young people aged 16-25 years, provided they are claiming Universal Credit. There are no limits to the type of role on this scheme, and no limits to the level of education the Kickstart trainee may already have.

We are a Kickstart Gateway who will act as an intermediary and apply for funding on your behalf and liaise with the DWP to advertise your Kickstart placement and get you up and running.

Are you eligible?

To take advantage of the Kickstart Scheme, you must have the following:

> Business must have been registered with HMRC for at least 12 months

You will not be eligible if you have the following:

Training & Support

We’ve taken the lessons we learnt moving all our training on-line to devise a new form of hybrid training. All our training is delivered by Development Coaches who are qualified educators with current industry experience in digital content production, event management, marketing, software development and all the other areas we work in.

They deliver from our Birmingham learning centre to learners who are simultaneously both in centre and on-line. The sessions are recorded so learners who can’t attend the live session can access the training in their own time.

Our training adopts what is known as a ‘blended learning’ approach. It’s a mix of group seminars, 1:2:1 training and coaching sessions, on-line learning, independent research and portfolio development. It’s practical, purposeful and tailored to meet the needs of each learner & employer.

It’s designed with employers to ensure each learner develops the knowledge and skills to they are looking for from employees & freelancers. If you’re looking to upskill yourself or members of your team, take a look at our Digital Skills for Business programme.
