This intensive 100 hour course is for people looking to get a career in the video games industry. In this course you will work with a team to make a Video Game and learn applicable skills of design, programming, art, audio & project management.

What is it?

The core of the Skills Bootcamp, is the production of a Video Game, from conception to completion. You’ll use this to update your CV and Portfolio so that you can demonstrate to potential employers what you know and what you can do. The key to this Skills Bootcamp is focussed on building up your portfolio, professional profile and applying for jobs. Whilst finalising your Video Game, you’ll also take part in After Care’ support to help you secure interviews and placements with Video Games Studios.

This is a 16 week Skills Bootcamp that will be a mix of online and in person training. It will be delivered by professionals who work in the Video Games industry. It is aimed at people seriously looking to work in this industry. After 4 weeks of upskilling there will be then 12 weeks of Video Game Development with support from industry mentors AND support securing interviews and work.

You need to be 19 or over and NOT in full time education.
You have a right to work in the UK.
You are looking to start or change your career and looking for employment, or new clients if you are a freelancer.
You have the time availability to commit to the course schedule.
These courses are free and fully funded by the government.
You have a solid understanding and basic proficiency in ONE of the following:
– Game design
– C++ programming
– 3D Art

On the completion of the application form and you will receive an Email from us to confirm application submission. We will then process your application and will contact you.

Step 3

Screening Call

A member of our team will contact you to review eligibility criteria. Once all applications have been reviewed you will be informed if you application was successful around one week before the start of the course.

Course Structure:

100 hours’ worth of live online and classroom sessions.
16-week course – Sessions will be delivered mid-week, please see schedule for more details.
Special sessions delivered by employers, recruitment experts and Business Owners.
