What Information Does Creative Alliance Collect About Me?

When you visit the Creative Alliance website we sometimes collect personal information from you using forms on the Website, such as when you signup to receive our newsletters, register for an employer pack, or apply for an apprenticeship opportunity or training programme.

We also collect personal information from you when you communicate with us for any reason, including by email, postal mail or telephone, and when you use our Services. By providing your personal information, you enable us to provide you with the services you select.

In addition, as you browse our website we gather some basic data such as which pages you have visited, which we use for statistical analysis – this does not include any personal information. This basic data is passed to Google to allow us to analyse how many visitors use our website, which helps us to improve the site.

The uses made of your personal information

The information that we collect and store relating to you is primarily used to enable us to provide our Services to you.

We will use your information to manage and administer your education. This will include putting together class lists, for sending event invitations, for communicating with you, for dealing with admissions, for putting together reports and registers, to check entrance exam results, to allocate you to the correct classes for assessments, to make arrangements for exams or visits, to consider whether to offer places to learners, to consider whether special provision or assistance is required for exams and visits and to be able to tell other colleges your attendance dates if you leave.

Generally, the information is process as part of our public interest task of providing education to you.

How long we keep your personal information.

We will hold your data for as minimum of 7 years in line with our regulatory requirements in line with our regulatory and governing body requirements, where there may be a requirement to hold your data to evidence the completion of studies or for audit purposes.

The information that you give us

Some of the information provided by you will be used by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (‘ESFA’) to fulfil its statutory duties and functions, issue/verify your Unique Learner Number (ULN) to maintain your Personal Learning Record. How we transfer your personal information outside Europe.

We do not store or transfer your personal data outside Europe.

Marketing

We will not share your information for marketing purposes with companies so that they may offer you their products and services. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes. How long will we hold your Data for?

For contracted services we will hold your data for 7 years in line with our regulatory requirements.

For Business to Business Clients and Contacts our lawful reason for processing your personal information will be “legitimate interests”.  Under “legitimate interests” we can process your personal information if: we have a genuine and legitimate reason and we are not harming any of your rights and interests.

For Business to Consumer Customers and Contacts our lawful reason for processing your personal information will be “A contract with the individual” e.g. to supply goods and services you have requested, or to fulfil obligations under an employment contract or an Apprenticeship Agreement.  This also includes any steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
