MLS have an Operations Management agreement with UKEL (UK Based International Sports Events), the organisation tasked to deliver on behalf of the Events Stakeholders. In conjunction the Apprentice will be expected to work acoss a number of projects within the MLS portfolio of delivery.
The Role –
The primary role of the Events Administrator is to support and enable the events to be well administered which involves –
· Regular communication with Team Managers; to inform and support them in registering their athletes and staff etc. on to the Accreditation System.
· Overseeing the Accreditation System so that entries are being monitored, anticipating any potential issues. Regular communication with the host City and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) representatives who assist MLS in planning, funding and delivering projects.
· Organising and attending the Local Organising Committee meetings including minute taking, setting the agenda and ensuring that actions are followed through prior to the next meetings.
· Attending, contributing & supporting the sub-group meetings of the LOC’s of events
· Supporting the entire planning and delivery phaase of projects and being the first point of contact for enquiries and issues in many cases.
· Assisting colleagues in the acquisition and servicing of sponsors/partners.
· Supporting Venue operations that they have clear information and schedules concerning respective venues
· Liaising with external contractors and external staff in the build-up to and during the delivery of events to ensure a cohesive delivery.
· Support keeping the website and Social Media channels are kept up to date.

We are looking for someone who is pro-active, adds value and is interested in growing with the role and with the business. However, we do value staff who provide us with a backbone of consistent and robust administration which is the springboard to all successful events.
You will need to be organised and have the ability to co-ordinate others.
You will need good IT skills and use of spreadsheets, word, power point, and other tools that provide efficient methods of organisation, presentation and data capture.
You will need a confident telephone manner and be engaging particularly with clients and the many participants within the MLS events portfolio
Requirements:
English and Maths GCSE at grade C/4 or above.

Event Assistant Level 3 Standard
Apprentices learn the skills they need on the job with the guidance of a development coach who is an expert from industry. You will finish your apprenticeship with a recognised qualification, valuable industry experience, money, and substantial opportunities for promotion.

Things to consider:
MLS Contracts Ltd need someone who has a full driving licence and can drive company vehicles as and when necessary. We reimburse people if personal cars are used on shorter journeys.
You have to be within a commutable distance to the office on a daily basis.
