Right now our spotlight is on: Tom Veasey: Development Coach

Tom’s story

Tom began his career as one of the first apprentices with Creative Alliance, training in the Theatre Technician Diploma at the Blue Coat School in Coventry.

He has since developed his career with a focus on sound, including work on Disney Cruises, and advanced to Senior Technician and Officer roles.

Working at Creative Alliance

In January 2023, he joined the Venues Team at Creative Alliance as a Development Coach, where he specialises in the Creative Industries Production Technician apprenticeship.

Since joining Creative Alliance, Tom has trained 37 Production Technicians across stage and event pathways. To date, 26 have achieved Distinction in their end-point assessments, with some results pending.

Tom’s record demonstrates his leadership in talent development. His progression from Creative Alliance apprentice to Senior Technician and now Development Coach reflects his dedication and expertise. Colleagues and apprentices describe Tom as a driving force for excellence.
