Creativity isn’t just one thing, there are many ways you can express yourself through different mediums. Whether it’s part of your job or something you do in your own time, it’s important to explore these avenues and expand your mind. The sun is out it’s time to unleash your creativity and try something new! Let’s take a look at some hobbies you can delve into.

GET MOVING

Put down your phone and get your blood pumping. Moving your body has many benefits for both physical and mental health, but it can also boost your creativity.

Doing some simple exercise increases oxygen flow to the brain, which boosts productivity and problem-solving. Additionally, physical activity that isn’t mentally demanding can help your thoughts flow freely, unlocking new ideas.

“The research thus far shows that it is the divergent, ‘think outside the box’ aspect of creativity that is most reliably enhanced by physical activity.”

Dancing
Put on your favourite tunes and dance it out.
Yoga
Stretch, breathe, and balance. Great for your mind and body.
Gardening
Get some fresh air and plant something new.
Acting
Join a local group, try something new, push your boundaries, and build confidence.
Photography
Grab a camera or your phone, take a walk, and snap your favourite views.

GET YOUR BRAIN BUSY

Take your mind off everyday tasks and your to-do list. Let your brain focus on something fun and engaging for a while. Exercising your body is important, but don’t forget to exercise your brain!
